Coronavirus is now a global crisis of our time. Recently this China-originated deadly virus is rapidly spreading all over the world. This virus is named 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) by the World Health Organization (WHO). The new coronavirus can be transmitted from human to human which makes this lethal virus an epidemic. The novel coronavirus (formerly known as Wuhan coronavirus) already caused about 2.87M deaths in the world until this day.
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are named for their crown (or the sun’s corona) like shape that resembled the spikes that protrude from their membranes. This contagious virus causes a respiratory infection that can contaminate both animals and people. The infections can extend from the common cold to serious conditions. The novel coronavirus is a new coronavirus strain that has not been found in people before.
Origin of Novel Coronavirus
2019-nCoV probably originally arose from an animal source but now seems to be transmitted from person to person. Researchers aren’t fully sure how the novel coronavirus first infected people in China, but the viruses that cause SARS and MERS, which founded in bats, provide some clues. Snakes have been suspected as a potential source for the outbreak, though other experts currently consider this as unlikely.
How is Coronavirus Transmitted?
Generally, respiratory viruses are transmitted through coughing and sneezing. Person-to-person spread is thought to happen mainly via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, chokes or sneezes. It’s currently unclear if a person can get the novel coronavirus by touching a surface that has the virus on it.

Patients should rest and drink plenty of fluids while the immune system does the job and heals itself. Take the counter medicine for a sore throat, fever, and other symptoms. However, as soon as you suspect coronavirus infection- immediately go to the doctor and get supervised.
